In case you couldn't guess by the plain header on this page, my name is Sam. Yes, that's short for Samantha. Believe it or not, I have met the man of my dreams, Matthew, and we got married in March and now have a baby boy. But, you don't want to hear about all that love stuff...

Yes, I am a "Tigger," an "Orange," and a "Leo," -- in other words, I try to maintain a happy disposition, sometimes over doing it and being slightly hyperactive, all the while taking command of whatever is thrown at me. I can be dared to do almost anything, I can go to places on the spur of the moment, and I can get easily distracted. I also spend way too much time on the computer.

When I lived in Florida, I was a member of the Lake City Kiwanis Club. Throughout college, I was heavily involved in Circle K, the world's largest collegiate service organization, which just happens to be sponsored by Kiwanis. I was the 1999-2000 Circle K Florida District Editor. For more information about that, click here.

Since moving and having a baby, I have become an Avon lady. I most recently worked at a Victoria's Secret store. I have retired from the newspaper business because of problems with my hands.

In my spare time, I do Circle K (yes, I'm one of those Alumni people) and Kiwanis things, go to the movies, go to the mall in Gainesville or hang out at friends' apartments. Yes, I do realize I have no life.

My husband and I moved to the mountains of North Carolina this fall. We are in the capital of nowhere. I'm originally from New Jersey--the Garbage State. Even sadder, huh?
